Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?

I know its rude to be thinking like that, but I myself was diagnosed 5 months ago with bowel cancer and am currently fighting it. And ever since, when I hear people who have life changing experiences because of a cancer scare, or ask stupid questions like does lip gloss give you cancer, it really gets on my nerves and I just think %26quot;shut up!%26quot;.

Do any other cancer patients or survivors feel that way too?Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
I remember the days when the word 'cancer' was only mouthed and never spoken out load. I think its rather sad how many young people are worried they may have cancer. So many young girls who are developing are fearful that the buds they feel are cancer tumors. Boys with an ingrown hair on a testicle think they have cancer.

The cancer scare is with us and it affects many people. One out of Three people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their life-time. Its very sad that so many live in fear of all the %26quot;causes of cancer%26quot;.. they feel there is no safe food to eat, no safe makeup, no place to hide.

Instead of worrying so much, I wish they would educate themselves so they can live a fun happy life without the fear of the %26quot;Big C%26quot; hitting them.

I was dx'd myself with terminal cancer.. I only wish that for those who don't have it... learn how to enjoy their good health instead of worrying themselves sick. Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
I don't blame you. People are stupid and rude. Stay strong and good luck. Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
I do not have cancer, but my grandmother had breast cancer, and yes, I think it bugs her very much ever now.

Plus, my friend just had her last chemo(!!!!!) a week ago, and I think it makes her a little bit scared and sad when she hears that. Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
No, not really.

I mean I guess they are being cautious.

I am more annoyed that people are hella smoking and not concerned at all, or in denial.

I like the smokers who are trying to quit.

I like the overweight people I see out walking.

I like seeing people trying to avoid it.

If my circumstance could scare someone into making better choices, than it's all worth it.

I'm more annoyed when people are ignorant and they are like, why are you in a wheel chair? You don't look sick. I don't feel like telling EVERYONE my story when I'm not feeling so good, ya know? Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
Not a patient or survivor myself, but you are not the first one I've heard express this frustration. It's part of the anger you feel, because you are currently fighting it. You are angry because you actually have it, and hearing some folks who got away easy is aggrivating because it just seems so unfair. And the dimtwitty's with the lip gloss questions would rub you wrong as well. It's okay. Do try to be glad for those who got off easy with the scare, you know how that feels yourself. And try to be understanding of the dimbulbs, as unfortunately, the ignorant, as well as the poor- always seem to be with us. You are fighting a fight that needs all your energy. Don't waste too much in anger with folks who won't benefit from it. Yeah, you are normal. Which is actually a pretty good thing. Anger can make you strong and determined, and that's a plus for survival. Those who roll over don't tend to do so well in the long run.Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
What you have to remember is, that it takes all types to make a world and not everyone is going to think like you do and that your not always going to like what some people may write or think either. So what if they write in and ask if lip gloss can give you cancer, as they are entitled to, just ignore the question and move onto the next. to you the question may seem stupid, but to them it could be a real concern. Everyone is at different growing times in their life and your about to grow into the next step in your life after reading this hopefully. CheersAre any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
YES!!!!

It drives me up the wall. The worst is when people go on about cancer scares, how it changed them, etc!!!!Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
Its aggrivating, but its mostly just uneducated people who are scared. That doesnt bother me nearly as much as the cancer cure conspiracies. I mean, 3 questions going, is there really a cure, they are holding it back to make more money.. on the front page right now. People, get over it. These people have never dealt with cancer up front. Yeah, maybe they had a relative that they were around a lii when they died, but.. They werent there for every appointment, every treatment, They didnt see it upfront and close. They just miss their loved one and need to blame someone for their death.

There is no cancer cure being held back, and if you think like a greedy person, a cure would actually give them more money than they could ever hope to make now.Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
Absolutely. I've heard 1000 versions of %26quot;I went to my doctor for ... and he thought it might be cancer (or more often, 'i imagined it might be cancer because I'm paranoid) so I seriously understand you!!!!%26quot;

I get an unreasonable amount of pleasure from showing them my scars from CGVHD and informing them that really, no, they do not know what it's like.

Until you walk into a room with the understanding that there's a 1/2 chance you're not walking out, no, you don't get to say you understand what I went through. Are any other cancer patients or survivors fed up of people who think everything is cancer?
