Life in general? Well, the war gave people a depressing, bleak view of the world. The war was much more violent and deathly than anyone had expected. By the time it was over, everyone was shocked at how such a horrible thing could happen. To get an idea of how bleak everyone was, just read the literature that was written in those days. Books like %26quot;All Quiet On The Western Front%26quot; and poems such as %26quot;The Waste Land%26quot; are some of the saddest things ever recorded. It was almost as if the world had lost all hope entirely.How did World War 1 change the way people looked at life?
