I do not like that there is no incentive for anyone with a Life sentence to change.

If you try to kill them, they'll exploit as many appeals as possible to avoid execution for as long as possible. It's much cheaper to incarcerate someone for life than it is to execute them, after they've spent 10, 15 or more years appealing.Whats the point of giving people life sentences?
It is a philosophical choice. They may still %26quot;change%26quot; while in prison and put themselves in a better frame of mind to face death. In Christian terms, they may accept Jesus as Savior and their eternal soul will be saved. In other religions and philosophies there are similar concepts regarding repentance and how one faces death. A life sentence gives the person time to change even though they are not freed.Whats the point of giving people life sentences?

It gives you a change to correct a mistake. If someone is wrongly convicted you can let them out. If you kill them you can't.

Life is usually 25 years to life not just life without chance of parole. Execution is frowned upon by more people than it is supported by. I personally believe execution should be instituted for special cases such as: rape, murder, anything to do with children.
We should publicly hang people and televise it so that people learn from other peoples mistakes.
Or maybe we should slowly kill the people on tv using torture techniques, who cares about the rights of other humans who have made mistakes in life.Whats the point of giving people life sentences?
Two main reasons, and a bunch of subsidiary ones:
1) It pleases the liberals, who %26quot;don't want people killed in their name%26quot;, even if they're criminals
2) it pleases those who are not sure of guilt, as there ARE some innocents on death row, and as long as you don't kill them, there's a chance the truth can come out and they can be set free.
