How did the Third Reich change the life of German people under Hitler between 1933 and 1939?

Hitler and his Nazi movements proposed to change the economic status of Germany and bring Germany to the top. When people heard this they did not question how he would do it and were quick to follow for they were struggling in an extra long depression compared to the allies due to the Treaty of Versailles. Breaking the treaty, Hitler began to build his army (after obtaining the position of chancellor) and rallying his country to support his views by promoting stories of nationalism and Aryan superiority. Building an army and rearmament created new jobs and put people to work, getting Germany out of it's depression. Many people were encouraged to join Nazi organization. The Nazi symbol of the swastika became widely known. Hitler also targeted his ideas onto young people for he knew they could be easily manipulated--this was very effective, many signed up to join the German army. Anti-semitism also grew during that time. How did the Third Reich change the life of German people under Hitler between 1933 and 1939?
Let us assume that, in an alternate universe, Hitler had died just after Czecoslovacia. He would have been hailed by the world as the greatest German chancelor ever.

Firstly, he went on a big building program. National works were used to address unemployment. Autobahns, VW cars, an army and air force. Re-industrializing the German people. Giving them back their national pride, Taking back the teritories that had been lost following WW1. Tearing up a very unpopular treaty.

As far as Germany was concerned, Hitlers leadership was great. They became a force again. They had food, education, jobs and an ideology. If you were Jewish or represented a threat to Hitler (Balder Von Blat - See night of the long knives) then you faced a much bleaker future.

However, it was not just Germany that supported Hitler. His renovation of the country won support from Britain, America and many countries who had viewed the original settlement of WW1 as terribly harsh.

When times are hard, dictators are a great asset for the short term. In the long term they do not do so well. However, if you want to get a lot done, mobilising your work force, solving unemployment, they are great. However, they are only short term solutions. Look at any dictator who has been in power for a long time and you will see that eventually they do more harm than good. But between the period you have outlined Hitler was a positive force the Germany, but not necesarily for all of its people.

The German people were 'down' after WW1. So Shickelgruber, AKA Hitler, was able to convince enough of them that they were 'superior' read 'aryan', that he was able to lead them into yet another adventure into humiliation.

Most people don't buy into the myth that most Germans are pompous asses. And rightly so.How did the Third Reich change the life of German people under Hitler between 1933 and 1939?
