I would say that no matter what happens, life is always ups and downs and this will continue indefinitely till the moment we expired from this life. its always inspiring to read someone autobiography and from their struggles and success we too may be able to relate those experiences to ours and thus help us to better manage our own life. What kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
ive met really cool people and some Ted Bundy types too... ive met some homeless people and some millionare's kids. a bit of everything. its all part of life. they make u grateful for what u know and have and dont know and dont have :DWhat kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
every person that I have met is a catergory on there own. and in every one there is a part of them that will resemble you. so like to think that everyone I know has tought me things about myself, as a 'human being'. there is no greater or more interesting subject than Humanity. What kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
All kinds. many that have changed my life. I use to be a one woman romantic kind of guy until my fiance cheated on me with a close friend of mine. then I became an asshole and cheater. that was years ago. more recently that reversed when I met my soul mate and had a son, but was still an *** and cheated again. this time I lost her, my son, my job, and my home. (we worked together) Karma got me.What kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
I met people of same type as i am . however i can divide them in two types

1. the people who love others,do not love themselves

2. the people who love themselves only , donot love othersWhat kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
I think I have met the greatest number of negative people in my life, and it taught me to focus on positivity because it is worth it's weight in gold. What kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
I have learned to be kind to strangers for some of them were angels although i did not know it at the time. What kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
All except negative. So far I have been able to take something positive from all my encounters. What kinds of people you%26039;ve met on your life path so far?
As an immigration officer, all of the above, as well as fine persons who have influenced my life by their actions and positive life style that I wished to copy. Groups of young men I have lead in scouting and sea cadets I have been the Officer in Charge

What is the best (or most positive), life-changing event that has happened to you?

I would to hear people's stories of amazing, life-changing events that have helped them feel like their life has meaning and purpose. The more detailed answers, the better!

**10 POINTS to the most detailed, (and most likable story!)**What is the best (or most positive), life-changing event that has happened to you?
The birth of my children gave meaning to my life. Caring for them and watching them grow into adulthood changed my life. : )What is the best (or most positive), life-changing event that has happened to you?
If we're talking the most positive, I'd say my stroke. Sounds weird, but you might need a little background to understand better.

When I was 14, I had a stroke, for no apparent reason. I lost almost all ability in my right (dominant) side and it took various doctors almost 5 days to diagnose me. I couldn't walk, smile, enunciate or even close my right eye when I went to sleep. I had to go through some pretty intense physio and now I'm nearly 100% at 17.

When I was in the hospital and the rehab centre, I saw the most sick kids of my life. Cancer, burn victims, heart attacks..everything waaay worse than me. Yet, I've never seen so much determination in my life.

If they can do it, ANYONE can. They took the pain and we're such complete normal, average people. I guess I did too, and I'm so glad it happened...it made me stronger I think. Life's too freaking short to get hung up on the little stuff or get trapped by letting your problems define you as a person.

I'm determined, more than ever, to justify my second chance at life. I'm planning on living life through all it's motions and following all my passions. I owe it to all the people I've met.

Have you ever had a life changing experience?

Was it positive or negative? You can go into detail if you want. I just wanted to see how many people actually have had a life changing experience.Have you ever had a life changing experience?
Yes and I've talked about this before but it really did change my life. My daughter's father was killed in a car accident when I was 7 months pregnant. I was young and didn't realize that could ever happen. At that time I took him for granted. I treated him horribly the weekend before he died. I never got the chance to say sorry and tell the truth about a horrible lie I had told him. I had no family, my best friend walked out of my life (another story) so he was all I had. Losing someone like that is so hard, you can't explain it, only experience it. I really changed because of this because for one thing, I felt it was my fault. I stopped playing games with people's heads and their hearts. I hope one day I can find another like him.Have you ever had a life changing experience?
Yup. My dad died this year. It was both positive and negative-negative for the obvious reasons, and although it seems to early to see the positive, I know I've been made stronger because of it.Have you ever had a life changing experience?
If you mean an appifany than im not sure...Have you ever had a life changing experience?
Yes i have had a bunch

  • How did life change for black people after the Civil War?

how did systems such as share-cropping, farm tenancy, ande the crop lien systems disproportionately affect blacks and poor whites? How did black extension agents to aid black farmers?

I do not know black%26amp;American history, but I want to know. Thanks for you answer!!How did life change for black people after the Civil War?
The first answer is completely wrong. African Americans were technically %26quot;free%26quot; after the civil war, but their lives did not change much. They were still oppressed by a number of laws, and certainly did NOT have the right to sit where they wanted or to vote until many years after the end of the civil war. Look up American civil rights on any search engine and you will find all sorts of websites with good information.

And don't learn this from television shows like roots. There are plenty of good books on this topic which are much better than television. How did life change for black people after the Civil War?
well they had the writes to sit where ever they want ,vote, have their own housesdo whatever the want but they still fellthe same so they were carefulHow did life change for black people after the Civil War?
get a copy of Roots 1,2,3,How did life change for black people after the Civil War?
During Slavery black people were somewhat provided with the basic necessities of life. SOMEWHAT. I am not saying they got the best of anything...far from it. Most got scraps from butchering for meats, if they were lucky they could have a small garden beside their house to work after they had already worked from dawn to dark. They were subjected to having their children or husband/wife taken away at any minute to be sold, rape, forcible %26quot;breeding%26quot; programs, any other sort of degradation that could be thought up to make money. They could be %26quot;rented out%26quot; for laboring for another person. Anything.

After slavery ended, what few protections they had as someone's %26quot;property%26quot; was gone. Before that... if you killed or maimed someone's slave, you were responsible for damages. After Emancipation....the black people had NO PROTECTIONS at all. They went from SOMEWHAT protected, provided for, clothed, fed, to having to provide for themselves. Of course, no one made them work or beat them or sold them...

    I can't say which is worse/better.

They were not allowed to vote after the first few years of Reconstuction, Laws were passed to make sure they didn't.

Laws called %26quot;Grandfather Laws%26quot; that said if your grandfather voted...you could vote or if they didn't, you couldn't. Well how many black MEN's grandfather voted in 1825? 1845? 1865? Not many.

One law said if you didn't own property, you couldn't vote. Most were sharecroppers and didn't own their property. IF they ever did scrape together the money to buy some property, no one would sell to them.

Then someone came up with a Poll Tax. You had to pay X amount of money to vote. Well... few could afford to pay to vote either.

Then the states passed segregation laws. Black people could only sit in certian areas on a bus. Certian churches, most resturants, water fountains, restrooms,

Don't forget about the Clan. The Ku Klux Klan..KKK wore sheets for anoynomous membership but everyone knew who they were usually. If a black person dared to raise their head (basically) they could be beaten, burned, tarred and feathered, raped, killed in various ways. I have included a link so you can read it and realize they are not only against black people. They are against EVERYONE that ain't white and Baptist. :( I have never heard of Black Extention Agents.

    Anyway.

Sharecropping affected black and white people both. Most that were in the cycle never got out. I think it effected blacks worse though, because of the %26quot;keeping them down%26quot; train of thought. It was common for black farmers to be charged even more than the white farmers who were already overcharged.

Believe me Emancipation wasn't all it was cracked up to be. It for sure didn't solve every problem that the black people had. Good Luck on your studying.

How will life change now that other people are no longer worthy of looking me in the eye?

My self esteem is so high that I no longer allow other people to look at me directly. How will things be different? How will life change now that other people are no longer worthy of looking me in the eye?

exactly! the gas station owners should just make them a little plat form to sit at all day, just in case they need to change the sign.Have you ever seen people move so fast in you life, as the people changing the Gas Prices on those Signs?
It is the governments way of keeping them in shapeHave you ever seen people move so fast in you life, as the people changing the Gas Prices on those Signs?
    wait till the riots start

i wouldnt work at a gas station for 50 bucks an hour/Have you ever seen people move so fast in you life, as the people changing the Gas Prices on those Signs?
Actually, I think the people who are continuing to drive way too fast in spite of those rising gas prices still have the station attendants beat. It must not be making *that* much of a dent in their pocketbooks.Have you ever seen people move so fast in you life, as the people changing the Gas Prices on those Signs?
Wow, you actually still have people that go out and do that where you live?

Everywhere in my area went to the light-board style where you just hit a few buttons and the price magically changes outside. I could almost swear now that they knew something we didn't, because this all happened when gas was in the low $2/gallon range.

How do you deal with life rapidly changing around you , your family, the people in the neighborhood dying,?

everyone around is moving on with life i want it to remain the way it use to be ? my sisiter is getting married neighbours ah getting married . people i know are dying , having kids and moving away ? how do i accept life changesHow do you deal with life rapidly changing around you , your family, the people in the neighborhood dying,?
I know so many people are so Anti-God and Anti-Bible, but I find the bible has some very pertinent things in it that can help us understand life, in general...

    (Ecclesiastes 3:1-9) %26quot;For everything there is an appointed time, even a time for every affair under the heavens: 2 a time for birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot what was planted; 3 a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to break down and a time to build; 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to wail and a time to skip about; 5 a time to throw stones away and a time to bring stones together; a time to embrace and a time to keep away from embracing; 6 a time to seek and a time to give up as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away; 7 a time to rip apart and a time to sew together; a time to keep quiet and a time to speak; 8 a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace. 9 What advantage is there for the doer in what he is working hard at?%26quot;

Accept that nothing is permanent. We are all temporal beings. It is in our frailty and mortality that makes life, and the experiences we create more meaningful. If everything were to remain the same always, how could we ever really learn life's valuable lessons? I find melancholy in this reality sometimes, but it only brings me closer to the things I love and cherish.

You just do, that is called %26quot;growing up%26quot;. Hey, I lost two loved ones to cancer within six weeks of each other last year, it sucked, but life rolls on, you just have to get deeper, and love precious life even more.

No Kitty, that is called %26quot;turning to drugs%26quot;, not a good thing, these things are part of life, you do not want to live in a stupor in order to deal. Trust me, do not use drugs or alcohol to try to cope, it does not work, and makes emotions more intense and less controllable. How do you deal with life rapidly changing around you , your family, the people in the neighborhood dying,?

There are some things absolutely guaranteed in life; nothing ever stays the same, our expectations are usually too high, and every person on earth will eventually die. Some things are very difficult to deal with. Talking to someone you trust about what bothers you will help tremendously. Knowing that life continues to change is a given, accepting it is a choice. How do you deal with life rapidly changing around you , your family, the people in the neighborhood dying,?
