Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?

Has Jesus become more real to you and strengthened your faith?

Atheists, I know you don't believe in God. A lot of people call God fictitious. I'm asking that those who believe share what they've discovered.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
When I was born, doctors told my mother to let me die. My mother didn't lesion to them and took my from Dallas to Georgia and from Georgia to Minnesota. It was there that one doctor was willing to try to save my life. I was needing a kidney transplant and it was there that I received one. I was 6 months old at that time. nobody had ever done a kidney transplant on one so small. I was the first.

I had to have a second kidney transplant at the age of 30 months old and finley the last one was a kidney and liver transplant in 1996. along with a heart pacemaker.

The same doctor did all the surgeries and if it weren't for him and God I would not be here today. I have been through much more than just that.

But I thank God evey day for keeping my here. And God has used me to minster to many. I also sing in revivals with my mother and my father preaches.

Yes...Christ has blessed us with a beautiful son (now 19 months) and another son due to be born in Jan 2009. Praise the Lord.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Yes. In the Eucharist during adoration it was settled in my heart that I would live out my vocation in the Diaconate. It was the greatest and closest moment with Christ. He held me, with a love only my brother, my lord could.

Peace to youHas anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
He has saved me from many dangers.

I believe in my faith strongly. Sometimes when among wrong doers it is tempting to say or do something, but I know Jesus guided my heart and my mind not to say anything, but to set a good example.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
stop giving in to the atheists they know there is a god .. or they do down down deep under all their justified sins ..stop listening to them for ten seconds ...yes I had a great morning the sun is up and warm and the lord and I were having a great morning together ..thanks for asking ..i don't believe him getting more real just the fact we are bound in our own stupidity ..some things fall away everntually and it seems like we had a breakthrough when all it was we just lost some hair ..or a scale or two ... He's not on again off again we are ..Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Does 3 years ago count as %26quot;recently?%26quot;

Well, if it doesn't, sorry, but I'm gonna tell you anyway. lol.

Anyway, about three years ago , I started having dreams. And they were very vivid dreams. I remember that the dreams were constant; whenever I dozed off a little bit, or when I fell asleep in the car or took a short nap, and when i got to sleep at night. The dreams were very realistic.

The dreams started out with a feeling, I felt guilty, that I had done something wrong. I knew that other people had done whatever I had done wrong, with me, but I still felt guilty. The town where I was had a law that if someone did something against the law, they would drown them. So me, and the other people who did whatever we did wrong with me, were sentenced to be drowned. They were going to put us in a cage and lock the cage and then put the cage underwater. But then Jesus, just as I always imagined him, came and said “No! Let me be drown instead.” And I was so relieved that I wasn’t going to be drown, but I didn’t want Jesus to be drown. But if I said anything, they would drown me. So I didn’t say anything. Then I found out that Jesus had the key to the cage. And right there before my very eyes he got into the cage and the townspeople closed the cage door. I saw Jesus in the cage going down into the water and drowning.

He had the key the whole time. He could’ve just unlocked the cage and said “I don’t want to do this anymore, let those people be drown.” But he didn’t. He gave up his life for ours. That is how I became a real Christian and began my relationship with God. Those dreams were definitely God-sent.

I hope my testimony helps strengthen your faith as it did mine. :)

Never forget to bury yourself in God's word! In Christ, mkthemk.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
A few years back, I had already accepted Christ into my heart and decided to do the water baptism done weekly by my church. I did not believe it was %26quot;required%26quot; to have Christ in oneself, but thought it a nice symbol and social event to share with others. As I walked to the water, I noticed it was the 1st time in my life that I had no concern of the temp. of the water. I experienced incredible joy while in the water !! Later, after I got home and was alone, I sat in a chair looking out the window and experienced the most incredible peace and euphoria for several hours. I did not expect or %26quot;wish%26quot; for this feeling, it was just there. I realized it was Christ and that He was there with me closer than ever before. It is not %26quot;when you seen Him you'll believe in Him%26quot;, it is rather, %26quot;when you believe in Him, you will see Him%26quot; What a great question, and thank you for this opportunity to share !! Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Yes; I did have a life-changing experience.

I was raised as a Catholic, but by the time I was about 14 I started to have doubts about God. I had a lot of Atheists around me(including my dad) tell me that God didn't exist. I was actually starting to believe this.

I wanted God to exist, though. I really did. God not existing would be like the worst possible thing for me because it would mean no paradise after death or no life.

So, what I did was I asked God if he really did exist to show me a sign. About five minutes later, my brother came running into the room shouting %26quot;watch this!%26quot;. So I started watching it, and it was just the thing I needed to get my faith back. I saw a documentary of one mans %26quot;Near Death Experience.%26quot;. I don't know if you've heard of those or not.

From that point on, my faith only got better and better. Now, a few years later, I'm a devout Catholic. I'm even thinking about joining a seminary after I graduate - which will be pretty soon. So, I guess that's my story.

What I find interesting about it though is that many Atheists just give up on their faith right away when they get smart enough. None of them would have really wanted this to happen. It just goes to show you that if you truly want God, he'll find you.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
to tell you the truth it has become more real to me and strengthened my faith. It made me become more Atheist.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Hi ! my partner and i take in mature foreign students two weeks ago we had an American girl 28 who was A,she went to church with my partner and was so moved that she discussed with us many aspects of Anglo catholicism, and then wanted to delve further into Christian beliefs. That to us was marvellous.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?

God bless you.

No, no one has recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus. Some might imagine that they did, but that's what makes imagination so great.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Jesus mowed my yard and trimmed the bushes. My home looks much nicer now.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Jesus who? You mean the famous one? No, never met him.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
No, I strayed away from God %26amp; religion. I am now too intelligent and highly educated to believe blindly in anything supernatural. I do believe that there is a good chance God exists. I do believe that Jesus may have existed and was a good man who taught a message of love and peace.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
I've had strengthening experiences through interactions with other people. Any religious experience I thought I had was made up in my mind as a desperate gambit to hang on to a forced upon religion.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?
Like Choko said. People would like to believe and imagine that they have. But that's because they want to believe so much that it clouds all rationale.Has anyone recently had a life-changing encounter with Jesus?

How did cars change the life for people in the 1920's?

they could have another place to have sex.How did cars change the life for people in the 1920%26039;s?
Cars changed the entire atmosphere of life in the 1920's, American life especially. It was a domino effect that boost all surrounding economies and help light the flame of the roaring twenties.

The entire idea of what cars did is far too much to say, but good points to note are:

Cars increased the production of roads, and offered an excess of jobs. The steel industry was greatly benefit by the onslaught of new business as well as rubber. In addition, people were able to disperse from the city and live with more space. The extra space implied a decrease in inner-city pollution and decease. People also could afford the extra capital on personal items.

It all depends on what type of music genre you're feeling, for instance if you like rap %26quot;Changes[]%26quot; by 2pac %26quot;Street Lights%26quot; by Kanye West %26quot;Dead and Gone%26quot; by T.I. ft. Justin Timberlake, and %26quot;Until The End Of Time%26quot; by 2pac, if you like rock %26quot;Shadow of the Day%26quot; by Linkin Park %26quot;Lying from You%26quot; by Linkin Park %26quot;Somewhere I Belong%26quot; by Linkin Park %26quot;Photograph%26quot; by Nikelback and %26quot;When I'm Gone%26quot; by 3 Doors Down. For R%26amp;B %26quot;U Got It Bad%26quot; by Usher, and %26quot;I Believe I Can Fly%26quot; by R.Kelly. For pop %26quot;Desperate%26quot; by David Archuleta and %26quot;Losing My Way%26quot; by Justin Timberlake. Just some music that comes to mind when one thinks about changes in life.

My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?

I've already decided I want to be a psychologist or a counselor. I think the best way to start changing the world is if the people in this world change themselves so I could help them by getting their minds right. I also have ideas for a couple of organizations that I would like to start.

What are some issues going on in your community?

What are some social issues you can think of?My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?
i think that's a good idea, but you can't focus TOO much on helping people...i guess i mean, if you become so concentrated on that, you won't notice the simple things you can do. you don't have to go out and change everyone's mindsets and stop world hunger and everything...you can start by giving simple smiles or sacrificing something to help brighten someone else's day.My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?
you can never go wrong with helping the homeless. Giving them a place to stay for a night and breakfast is one thing. Then they go out and just survive till it's night time. If one gave them an opportunity to go to class, just to learn who to read, give them something to live for other than a bottle of booze, or another hit. Something to break a vicious cycle.

work of the saying, %26quot;give a man fish, feed him for a day. Teach him who to fish, feed him for a life time.%26quot;My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?

The first place to start is within yourself. Once (and only once) you yourself are whole can you help another human being on their path to wholeness. Also, it matters not which counseling discipline you follow. Statistics have shown that it is the therapist/counselor that determines the success or failure of a treatment regimen, not the methodology.

Your very life can be an inspiration for change and your presence a centering influence if you yourself are whole and complete.

If I may suggest some reading towards your goal, I'd read...

%26quot;The Primal Wound: A Transpersonal View of Trauma, Addiction, and Growth. by John Firman and Ann Gila%26quot;. That one is to move towards greater personal wholeness. The second one I'd read is... %26quot;How can I help!%26quot; by Ramm Dass. That may give you ideas on your pathway to making this world a better place.

Good luck and Namaste!My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?
Make a lot of money. Bill Gates is making much more of a difference than some silly counselor. Oprah is able to make substantive changes in people lives, the more money you have the more you can do.My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?
Okay.

1. Nobody can change anybody

2. Psychologists and counselors HURT people for a living.

3. If you aren't selfish enough to take care of yourself you have NOTHING to give anyone else.

4. If YOU aren't SELFISH enough to take care of yourself you have NOTHING to give anyone else.

5. The best way to help someone is by EXAMPLE.

6. The world can only get better from the INSIDE OUT.My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?
One must first realize that, nothingness is the enivability of life. And with that in mind it's futile to try and change the world, to give everyone a bed, or have everyone's dreams come true. But what can be done, is to understand. When we understand one another we connect, we don't play into social stigmas, we are free. I know it is impossible to every truly know another person, but we must strive to understand and create a sense of belonging.My main goal in life is to help people. How can I make this world a better place?
If your goal is to be a counselor, how many people would you be able to help?

If your goal is to help people what is the best way to help the highest number of people?

Starving people do not need counseling more than food.

Homeless people need homes more than counseling.

Is your goal to be a counselor or to help the greatest number of people that you can?

To make this world a better place, do not stop helping people. There is more need than for merely counselors can provide.

Some people preffer changes in their life,some don't preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?

are you in favour of changes in life or you against it?Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
For many years, I lived out of a suitcase. I'd wake up in the morning and have to think to remember what country I was in. No 2 days, no 2 weeks, no 2 years were the same. And I loved it.

Now I'm older and a little tired. I bought a house and turned it into my own little world, filled with memories of my travels, and my cats and dogs. I rarely leave the city more than once a month, and every day is pretty much the same. And I love it.Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?

I think changes are great :)

Something new and different is always exciting to experience!

It actually depends if it's a good or bad change

Even if it was bad, I guess I'd have to get over it and try and think positiveSome people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
I love change and hate the people who pull their hair out because something cahnged, chage is enevitable, embrace it or go insain, its like trying to stop the time from passing......Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
i think if life was meant to stay the same we would never grow up. we would all be babies for our whole lives. i think change is the best darn thing that can happen in life because without it life would be boring. without it, nothing good would ever happen. we would never feel happy, or sad, or angry because isn't that really why we feel at all? because things change and we don't like them or we love them and so we FEEL and feeling is just a part of being human.Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
First you have to break down the process of %26quot;Change%26quot;...it is the end result of a different situation. Everyone likes things to change for the better, but the outcome can't be predicted without actually getting there and that is where the problem is. For something to change it means that it's different. Most people find that when things are different they are uncomfortable and out of their safe zone. So in the process to change they start to freak out a lil bit. They might be the same people who would love the outcome of change but it's the process of being uncomfortable that makes them fear it. To change you have to take a leap of faith. Most aren't that fearless. Hope this helps =]Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
Often people stick with the status quo because it is safe and predictable. Change can be scary because of the element of uncertainty. Change also can be risky. As an example, I often think of leaving my job with a daily newspaper to write freelance. I think I could ultimately would be happier and may make more money. But I am concerned about paying for health insurance until I get established. So I have a plan to make the change when I turn 59 1/2 and can take money from my 401K without penalty. That is only 9 years and about five months away. So I have a plan for change and am content, knowing the change will come one day. ... I guess this answer turned out to be long.Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
Change is constant... Like it or not, I believe our job is to have acceptance of it.Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
i like changes, i can't live without them because i start getting paranoid. after a month or two i have to change all the furniture in my room around trying to place them in different places, the same in my look. and im waiting for one big change to change my whole life :) [haha how many times did i say change??!! xD]Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
i didnt like change but now i realise that change is how you tell if your dead or not.Some people preffer changes in their life,some don%26039;t preffer changes in life.whats your opinon?
I'm for it...why is it so hard to accept? Is it possible that our nature is rather still?

    Am I waiting to long to make life-changing decisions?

    I'm 18 years old, just finished my exams, doing a year long course in Management, have a god job, a boyfriend of a year .... And I'm happy enough!

    But a lot of people are pressuring me to know exactly what I want to do in life, and I haven't an idea what I want yet! Sometimes I feel stressed because it seems everyone else knows what they want....I just want to go with the flow!

    Am I waiting too long?Am I waiting to long to make life-changing decisions?
    No you aren't waiting too long. As long as your happy with your life don't pay any attention to them. Life is about being happy and not seeing how much money you can make or climbing the corporate ladder. That's the trouble now days.Am I waiting to long to make life-changing decisions?
    your still basically a teenager. wait till your like 25 then you can make small decisions.Am I waiting to long to make life-changing decisions?
    you're only 18. it sounds like you are farther along than most 18-year olds!

    this is what you can do for now. always ask yourself the following questions:

    %26quot;what do i like to do?%26quot;

    %26quot;what am i good at?%26quot;

    %26quot;where do i want to live?%26quot;

    %26quot;what jobs might i want to have one day?%26quot;

    %26quot;what might i want to study in college?%26quot;

    right now, you do NOT have to have solid answers to those questions. you have 18 years of life behind you; you have many more ahead of you. right now you need to focus on being happy, and getting to know yourself and moving on up! you should always have an idea of what you want, and when you're ready to go for it--do it!Am I waiting to long to make life-changing decisions?
    Not at all. If you try to rush and make a decision when you're not ready, you can end up making a big mistake. There are too many stories of ppl getting married then divorced or having kids too early or other things like picking the wrong school or major.

    Just wait til you're ready, find something you like and then you'll know what you want to do.
